2003 SYRAH

Our 2003 Syrah marked the debut of the Ashton Vineyards “AV” logo and holds a special place in our history. The label was created by Stephen Ashton together with his daughter, Aurora—a Japanese art–inspired design formed with a single brush stroke to symbolize balance, movement, and family.
 
Like all Ashton Vineyards Syrah vintages, it was crafted in the classic style of France’s Hermitage region. Sourced from five Syrah clones planted on our hillside estate in the early 1980s, the mountain’s volcanic soil and fully ripened clusters add character, depth, and complexity. The result is a full-bodied, mouthwatering wine with refined tannins and a long, savory finish that continues to reflect the timeless character of our vineyard.
